From the time she was little she had a dream of becoming an actor. She moved to Los Angeles after graduating from University of Texas in order to become an actor professionally. She began her career with commercials and modeling for print. As an extra, she was first seen on television in Friday Night Lights. Initially, she played tiny roles on shows like A Thin Line Supah Ninjas as well as How I Met Your Mother. She started her movie career around the same time. Her first movies were Detention and DisCONNECTED. Kristina was her big career break when she played her role of Kristina in General Hospital. The entire year spent in the show. In 2014 her career received an enormous boost after she was given the part as a mechanic named Raven Reyes in the science-fiction television series The 100. She was initially a support character, but over time her role has evolved into the main protagonist of the series.
