Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., born Henry John Deutschendorf in Roswell located in the state of New Mexico,, was in Love with Colorado. He settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said the following: John Denver was by far one of the most popular artists who represented Colorado. Denver was the first Hall of Fame to be inducted into the hall. To many, Denver is the symbol of Colorado. When I travel, you are likely to meet people from the other end of the world. Like, for instance, people from New Zealand. And when someone asks you if you're Colorado-based, Colorado people will respond with "Oh John Denver!" Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads - cowritten with Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo singer after a brief time in small folk groups. Danoff composed the track with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered an early version and knew it was going to be one of the Top 10 hits. The song was performed in Washington D.C. to a massive crowd, Denver released the song a couple of days from now.
